Stressed

Whew. We are a stressed bunch around this home.

But first things first of course, Casey proposed. Hooray. So happy! I'll post in a day or so how it all went down.

I will found out tomorrow if I get picked for the OSU residency. I am not getting my hopes up as I know my competition.

The Match has to be one of the more stressful things ever. I hate this waiting game. I have one final interview with Mizzou on Tuesday. I'm a tad nervous as they are requiring a 20 minute presentation. After that it's just waiting around and hoping something pans out on March 23rd.

Residency

Residency applications are in and under review.

I ended up applying to 7 different places: OU in the city, VA in the city, USA Drug/OU, Via Christi in Wichita, Shawnee Mission in KC , University of Missouri in Columbia, and Barnes-Jewish in STL.

Whew. I feel that seven is a lot, because if by some twist of fate all 7 decide to interview me that makes February a busy, busy month of traveling.

So hopefully I will be able to match up with one of them and then on March 23rd I will know where I am moving in June.

Also, I think I will probably go on to do a PGY2 in HIV/ID, that is if I can survive my year doing the PGY1.

I will keep you posted on the progress.

Sorry. We have been busy.

We're alive and well. I promise.

We have both just been busy with holidays, school, rotations et cetera.
